A QUICK UPDATE

January 14th - 16th, Cincinnati. Breathe. Build. Belong.

Sync is where the real estate media community gets together to work on the business, not just the craft. If you have been thinking about it, grab your ticket now.

WHAT'S NEW IN SPIRO

Titus AutoPay is here.

If you are not using Titus yet, here is the short version. Titus is our built-in payment processing option and it replaces Stripe or Square. Processing runs at 2.39% compared to 2.99% with Stripe and Square, so you keep more of every job. It also includes pay at close, which lets agents settle up when the property closes instead of at booking. On average Pay at Close brings a 25% higher average order value vs when agents have to pay immediately!

The new piece is AutoPay. Your agents can now choose to have their invoices paid automatically.

This one matters most for your high volume agents. The agents shooting the most with you are usually the ones who least want to think about invoices. Now they can set up a weekly or monthly invoice covering all of their jobs, and it gets paid the moment it goes out. One invoice, no follow up, nothing for you to chase.

Agents can also manage their own credit card information directly, so you are not fielding card update requests.

Photographer messages now reach the office automatically.

If a photographer leaves a message in the photographer portal, Spiro now checks the send office alert automatically and emails it to you.

Before, that alert only fired when a photographer marked a property as shot partial or shot none. Anything a photographer typed outside those two cases could sit in the system unread. Now every message comes to you.

Deactivation checks for photographers and editors

When you deactivated a photographer or editor, any future jobs or tasks still assigned to them could quietly end up in limbo. Nobody was notified and the work sat there.

Spiro now catches that. When you deactivate someone, you will see exactly which upcoming jobs and tasks they are assigned to, and you can reassign each one before the deactivation goes through. Nothing gets stranded.

A change to how we ship.

We are also changing how we release updates.

Up to now we worked through a long list and pushed everything at once every 8 to 12 weeks. Going forward we are moving to a shorter, more regular cycle. Some releases will be significant and some will be small, but they will be steady and you will see them more often.

Practically, that means less waiting between the thing you asked for and the day it shows up in your account.

More room in custom questions

Custom question answers on the order page were capped at 300 characters, which was not enough for agents who wanted to paste in access details, showing instructions, or notes for the shoot.

That limit is now 2,000 characters. Your agents can give you the full picture up front instead of splitting it across a separate email or text.

Agents can now share a phone number

Plenty of agents work off a shared office or team line, and until now Spiro would not let two agent records use the same number. That restriction is gone. Your agents can set their accounts up the way their team actually operates.

WHAT'S COMING NEXT

Since we are shipping more often, here is what is already in the pipeline.

New fall designs for Marketing Kits are coming soon

We're adding fresh fall designs to Marketing Kits, giving your real estate agent clients more seasonal options to use in their own marketing.

That means new reels, social posts, and other fall-themed designs they can customize and share — giving you another valuable resource to offer your clients and another way to help them look good in front of theirs.

We're also creating ready-to-use graphics you can share with your agents to let them know the new fall designs are available, so you don't have to build the announcement yourself.

Keep an eye out for an announcement as soon as the new fall designs are live and ready for your agents to use.

@Mentions for photographers

Today you can mention and tag people inside your own team. We are extending that to your photographers.

You will be able to tag a photographer directly on a job, and they will be able to tag you back. Daily job communication stays on the job instead of scattered across texts and emails. It also works for feedback. If you need to point something out after a shoot, you can go back to that job, tag the photographer, and the note sits right in line with the work it refers to.

Automatic variable sales tax lookup

For those of you in states where sales tax changes by county or zip code, this one is for you.

Spiro will look up the correct rate automatically based on the property address, rooftop accurate, so the right tax gets applied to the right job without you maintaining rate tables or checking jurisdictions by hand.

More on both of these as they get closer.

QUESTIONS OR FEEDBACK, JUST REACH OUT. WE READ ALL OF IT.
