You can use Dropbox to store and stream your delivered video files! Watch the video below to see how to setup the integration and get video into the system!
Simplifying Dropbox Video Hosting with Spiro
Integrating Dropbox with Spiro
Access settings and go to integrations.
Ensure Dropbox is integrated by clicking on the button if not already done.
Create an auto import folder specifically for video files.
Setting up Video Hosting Platform
Select Dropbox as the hosting platform.
Choose how Spiro will handle videos two weeks after delivery to prevent deletion issues.
Managing Video Files
Ensure the final video is saved in a designated folder within Dropbox.
Recommended Video Export Settings
To Ensure the most widely accepted playback of videos we recommend you export your video with these settings
.mp4 only - (NOT .mov)
H264 compression (not H265)
Less than 100mb per minute
1080p or 4k
Use the "copy video" option to automatically duplicate the video to a top-level folder after two weeks to avoid link breakage.
In doing this you can then delete the "job" folder to free up space when/if needed.
Remember we play the video file from your Dropbox account - IF you move or delete the file the video will not play!
Adding Videos to Property Websites
In the property website editor, create a video section or add a new one.
Upload videos directly to the editor, which will copy them to the Dropbox job folder and embed them back into the website.
Alternatively, editors can place videos in the auto import folder for direct streaming from Dropbox without needing a separate hosting account.
