You now have the option to accept tips directly inside of Spiro when clients pay for their orders. This feature allows satisfied clients to reward you or your photographers for a job well done.
Prerequisites: Using Titus
To use the tipping feature, you must use Titus as your exclusive payment processor.
Requirement: You must be using Titus for both Pay at Close AND Pay Now (replacing Stripe or Square for credit card processing).
Not signed up? If you are not yet signed up for both services, log in to your account at gotitus.com to apply for credit card processing.
Benefits include lower rates than Stripe/Square and faster payouts.
How to Enable Tips
Once you have confirmed you are using Titus for both payment methods, follow these steps to turn on tipping:
Navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu.
Select Invoicing.
Click on Payment Gateway Setup.
Verify that Titus is selected for both "Pay at Close" and "Pay Now."
Check the box labeled Add a tip.
Configuring Tip Percentages
Once enabled, you can customize what the client sees during checkout:
Predefined Values: Enter three percentage amounts (e.g., 5%, 10%, 15%) to be shown as quick suggestions to the client.
Custom Tips: Clients will always have a "Custom" option if they wish to enter a specific dollar amount.
Note: Tipping is completely optional for the client; they are not forced to select a tip to proceed with payment.
Click Save Changes when finished.
Tracking and Distributing Tips
We have added a specific report to help you track tips so you can distribute them to the correct photographers.
Go to Metrics & Reports in the left-hand menu.
Click the Generate Report button in the upper right-hand corner.
In the top drop-down menu, scroll down and select Tip Report.
Select your desired Date Range.
Click Get Report.
This report will list all payments that included a tip, along with the photographer assigned and the listing address, allowing you to easily calculate payouts.
