Overview Think of Services as the "Ingredients" or "Dishes" in your kitchen. Before we can print a menu (your Order Page), we need to prep the individual dishes. In this module, we will create your core services (like Photos, Drone, and Video) and set their pricing and duration rules.
Step 1: Create a New Service
Navigate to Shopping Cart > Services.
Note: You may see some sample services here. Feel free to delete them using the trash can icon if you want a clean slate.
Click Create Service > Create New.
Name: Be specific (e.g., "25 HDR Photos").
Icon: Select a camera or relevant icon.
Service Category: Select the correct skill (e.g., "Photo").
Crucial: This tells Spiro who can perform the job. If you select "Drone," Spiro will only assign this to photographers with the Drone skill enabled.
Step 2: Description & Instructions π
Description: This is the sales copy your clients will see. Make it appealing!
Photographer Instructions: This is an internal note your team will see (e.g., "Please turn on all lights and fans off. Take photos of entire house inside and outside").
Service Gallery: Upload a sample image that represents this service.
Note: You cannot upload video files directly. If you have a sample video, use the "Add Video" toggle and paste a YouTube or Vimeo link.
Step 3: Pricing Strategy (Add-on vs. Standalone) π²
This is the most common point of confusion.
The Rule: Enter the Add-on Price here.
Why? You can always modify the price later when you bundle it, but this base price is what Spiro uses if you sell it as an add-on.
Example: If you charge $175 for standalone drone but $150 if they buy a package, enter $150 here.
Fixed vs. Variable Pricing:
Fixed: One flat price.
Variable: Price changes based on square footage.
Example:
0 - 2000 sq ft: $250
2001 - 4000 sq ft: $300
4001 - Infinity (β): $350
Note: You must have a final tier that goes to "Infinity" to save the service.
Step 4: Duration (Scheduling Logic) β±οΈ
How long does it take to "cook" this dish? This ensures you don't get double-booked.
Scroll to On-Site Duration.
Set the time based on Above Ground Square Footage.
Example:
0 - 2000 sq ft: 60 mins
2001 - Infinity: 90 mins
Step 5: Photographer Payout (Optional) πΈ
Do you pay your team a flat rate per job?
Select Yes.
Enter the fixed amount (e.g., $65).
Spiro will track these payouts and generate an invoice for your photographers automatically.
Step 6: Save
Click Save Changes. You have successfully prepped your first dish! Repeat this process for all your core services (Drone, Video, Floor Plans).
Rinse and Repeat!
Now create a new service for each individual offering at your company. Please note you can copy Services and then modify as you create new services to make this process more efficient!
