How to Integrate Your Vimeo Account
In your account, go to Settings → Integrations → Video Hosting Platform.
Choose Vimeo and connect your Vimeo account through Vimeo's authorization
flow.
Complete the process and Grant Spiro permission to access your Vimeo account. Once successfully completed, you may now see this on your end:
How does Vimeo Integration Work
Once you have integrated your account successfully, here’s what’s happening on the back end:
Videos are uploaded to Vimeo.
Retrieve the Vimeo share URL.
Upload the video to the Property Website Editor
Generate downloadable video links when Vimeo download permissions are enabled.
Videos are shown on the download page
Your videos are hosted and streamed by Vimeo. Spiro doesn't replace Vimeo. It connects to it.
Think of Vimeo as the place where the video lives, and Spiro as the place where it's presented to your clients and attached to your property listings.
It's similar to embedding a YouTube video on a website. The website shows the video, but YouTube is still hosting and streaming it. With Spiro and Vimeo, Vimeo is the host, and Spiro is the platform where your clients access the video
When you upload a video through the Vimeo integration, the master video file is stored in your Vimeo account. Spiro pulls that video into the property page so your clients can view it alongside photos, floor plans, and other marketing materials.
How will I know if it's integrated properly?
If you can see the download button on the download page in Spiro, that means it's integrated correctly. We use this as a strong indicator especially since most users have Paid Vimeo accounts.
If you're unable to see that and you know that you have a subscription with them,
that only means two things: Your account wasn't integrated or you have not enabled the downloadablity of the video from your Vimeo account
