Google Calendar Integration Overview (Video)

What This Integration Does

  • Time off is managed in Google Calendar

  • Busy time blocks sync into Spiro automatically

  • Appointments created in Spiro appear on Google Calendar

  • Jobs must still be checked in and completed through the Photographer Portal

Important Sync Notes

  • Time off must be added to your system/work Google Calendar

  • Time off cannot be edited directly inside Spiro

  • Spiro reads availability but does not override calendar ownership

  • Google Calendar sync controls availability only β€” job actions happen in Spiro

How to Link Your Google Calendar

  1. Log in to the Photographer Portal

  2. Click My Profile

  3. Select Add Google Integration

  4. Choose the Google account you want to sync

  5. Click Continue to grant access

βœ… Once connected, a new calendar will appear in your Google account.

Google Calendar Options

By default, Spiro creates a dedicated calendar for appointments and time off. You can optionally link additional calendars for availability tracking.

Linking Additional Calendars

If you use multiple calendars in Google (work, personal, shared), only the calendars selected in Spiro will affect availability.

To confirm:

  1. Go to Photographer Portal β†’ My Profile β†’ Google Calendar Integration

  2. Under Additional Calendars, check any calendars you rely on for availability

This ensures Spiro correctly blocks off busy time.
