Inviting your Work Calendar to a Personal Event for Time off

All time off needs to be added to your Spiro work calendar, you may have other calendars that you share with others that have events that you need time off. You can easily invite your Spiro Work Calendar to any event on any other calendar so time off is applied in the portal

We first need to copy the calendar ID email of your Spiro Calendar

1. Click on Options for your Spiro Appointment Calendar

2. Click on Settings and sharing

3. Copy your Calendar ID (this is an email address)

# Now Create a Google Contact with this Email Address

4. To Create a Contact - Click on Google apps

5. Click on Contacts

6. Click on Create contact

8. Give the contact needed information:

  1. First Name

  2. Last Name

  3. Paste the Copied Calendar ID Email Address

9. Click on Save

Click on Save

Now you can add this contact to any calendar event and the time off will sync to Spiro so you are not scheduled for jobs

10. Create or Edit any event

In the example below we are creating a new event for time off but this event is NOT on our Spiro Calendar

11. Click on More options

12. Under Guests Invite the Contact you created in the Steps above

Note: If you just created the contact you may need to refresh the page for Google to pull in the new contact as it may not populate in the list without a refresh of the page.

13. Click on Save

15. Now you will see that you have the original event AND a copy that exists on your Spiro calendar
