Editors - User Already Exists

When you are adding an editor you may receive an error that says "A user with this email address already exists"

However when you check your user list you do not have a user with this email address.

Currently in Spiro an editor can exist only 1 time for ALL Spiro users. So this email address you are trying to input belongs to an editor that is already in another Spiro users system.

There is an easy workaround for this error, just ask your editor to create a new unique email address for you to use in Spiro.

  1. Editor creates a new unique email for you

    1. Have them use gmail or another similar mail service (new email addresses are free)

    2. The editor can forward all emails from this new email address to their normally checked inbox so they do not have to check 2 inboxes

  2. Add this email in Spiro for your editor

  3. Now that this email has not been used by ANY Spiro user the new Editor account will be successful/

We do intend on a future update fixing this duplicate email situation, for now a new email address will make everything work as expected.
