Inside of Spiro you can choose to send from our domain or white label email and send from your domain. Pending your setup there are different ways to improve deliverability.

How Do I know if the Email was Delivered?

Inside of Spiro on the Order Overview and also the Property Website Editor we have a Logs section that will show you all actions of the order.

Click on this section will expand the Logs:

When an email is send from Spiro it will have a couple of Entries on this page:

  1. "Email Name" - Submitted

    1. This means Spiro has sent the email from our mail server and it was submitted for receipt to your client

    2. NOTE: If you want to view the email that was sent click the "eye" icon on the far right

      1. A Preview of the Email will show on the page

  2. The Result of the Send - Successful or Failed

    1. Here in the second entry you can see if the email was Successful or Failed

    2. If the email Failed then Spiro will also email you letting you know along with a copy of the email

Improve Deliverability

Non-White Labeled Email

By default Spiro will send emails from [email protected] - we suggest if you client is having problems receiving emails they white list this email address. Pending the settings on the email server if these emails do not get to the users inbox it may go to the Other or Spam folders. If the email does not appear in those folders then it was caught in a mail server filter.

Overview of How to Improve Deliverabuiolity:

  1. Ensure the Email Address you have for the client is correct

  2. Have your client white list [email protected]

White Labeled Email

Inside of Spiro you can white label your email, so email can be sent from your custom domain vs @spiro.media

When you add a custom record Spiro will give you 5 records to add to your domain

  1. TXT

  2. TXT

  3. CNAME

  4. MX

  5. MX

It is not required to add both of the MX records however if you do add both records it will improve email deliverability.

What if I Already have MX Records on my Domain?

If you already have MX records on your domain you can still add new records HOWEVER you should add them at a higher priority number (thus lower priority).

Example:

If you have MX records already on your domain at a Priority of 10 then please add the Spiro MX records at Priority of 15.

If you have MX records already on your domain at a Priority of 15 then please add the Spiro MX records at Priority of 20.

Once you have added these MX records on your domain please click the "Verify" button inside of Spiro to have your system update.
