Configuring DNS Records in GoDaddy

This tutorial will cover adding DNS records to GoDaddy. This guide will specifically add the records needed for email white labeling however the same process can be followed for Domain white label.

1. Click on Domain

2. Click on Manage DNS

3. Click on Add New Record

Click on Add New Record

4. Inside of Spiro you will see the Type of Record you need to add.

In this specific example we will add a TXT record

5. In Spiro - Under Name Click the Copy Button

6. In GoDaddy - Paste this Under Name

In GoDaddy - Paste this Under Name

7. In Spiro Copy the Value

8. In GoDaddy - Past this under Value

Set TTL for 1/2 Hour (this was default)

9. Click on Save

10. Let's Double Check

GoDaddy has also by default added in your host name to the pasted records. We DO NOT need your host name in twice.

We DO NOT want:

youdomain.com.youdomain.com

We just want

yourdomain.com

Please make the top selection that only has your domain 1 time!

11. Click on Continue & Verify

12. Now Finish Adding in ALL of the Records in Spiro to GoDaddy

Click Add new Records and follow the steps from above.

13. MX Record Walkthrough

MX Records are mail sending records, you may already have MX records on your domain however to increase deliverability of emails we need you to add the MX records in Spiro.

We will add MX records at a priority of 15 (please see below)

14. Copy all Records from Spiro and Paste into GoDaddy

For Priority please add 15

15. Once you had added all Records go back to Spiro and Click "Verify"

DNS records can take 24-48 hours to populate. If you receive an error in Spiro there can be 2 issues:

  1. You need to wait a little longer for your host to populate DNS records

  2. You have input a records incorrectly - please double check all records added

Once you had added all Records go back to Spiro and Click "Verify"

16. When Verification is correct you will be see a green checkmark in Spiro
