How to Troubleshoot Files not being imported from Dropbox

In Spiro you can integrate your Dropbox account to create a watched folder for auto import of media loaded to the Dropbox auto import folder.

If you are having problems with the importer bringing media in the property website follow these troubleshooting step below.

Confirm Your Photo Size

Photos have an individual max limit of 20mb each. If you have added images larger then 20mb each Spiro will NOT import the images

Check the "Status" of the Listing

Once a Listing has been delivered Spiro will no longer import files from Dropbox. All files will have to be manually uploaded to the Property Website

You can see the Status from the Property Website Editor:

The above example has the status of "Delivery Pages Created" this is typically what you will need to see for the Dropbox import to work successfully.

If the status is Delivery Email Sent then the Dropbox importer will no longer function

Confirm your Dropbox Auto Import Folders

You must be uploading media to the correct folder in Dropbox. In your Dropbox setup you have defined Auto Import Folders, these are the folders Spiro will watch and import media from.

On the right side of the page you will find "Auto Import Folders"

These are the folders Spiro will scan to import media to the defined "Delivery Section"

Click on Dropbox Configuration

In the example above we have defined a folder names "02-Edited-Photos" this is the folder Spiro will watch for media. It will take the media in that folder and upload it to the "Photo" or Gallery section of the Property Website Editor

Confirm Import Wait Time

Once you have uploaded to Dropbox the import is not instant into Spiro. This process is typically minutes however pending file size and system load this can take up to 30 minutes to import media.

What Else to Try?

If you have all of the above settings correct the next step to troubleshooting is to remove your Dropbox integration and add again to start fresh. We have found that in cases the integration can become disconnected but visually appears all is working.

Contact Support

If you still cannot get files to import chat support is here for you. Please follow the steps below to expedite your request:

  1. Use the pink chat bubble inside the Admin panel of Spiro

  2. Send us a screen shot of the Dropbox folder showing the path and also the loaded media.

From here our team will be able to trace that Listing and also file size and type.
