There are two main ways to look at service areas and trip fees. Spiro can accommodate both methods.

2 Ways to Configure Service Areas

  1. Region Based - your REP company sets a region (zone) of coverage, this is a consistent zone advertised to your agents in which trips fees can be assessed. Your photographers are assigned to these zone(s). IE you may have 4 photographers working in the "Atlanta" zone.

    1. Many Photographers can be assigned to 1 zone

    2. Trip Fees are set on the Service area and will be consistent to all clients ordering in that location

    3. Photographer payout for mileage is not connected to the service area, but is paid out based on the mileage settings you have configured (IE the more miles they drive the more milage they are paid out)

  2. Photographer Based - each photographer in your company sets a region (zone) of coverage, each zone can be different based on where each photographer will travel. You need to create at least 1 service area for each photographer and on each service area you can set the trip fee to the client, the photographer and if you (the REP company) is keeping any of the trip fee

    1. Only 1 Photographer is assigned to each Service Area

    2. The trip fee is based on the photographer selected, 1 location can have different trips fees for your agents pending the photographer they choose

    3. Photographer payout for mileage driven is set on the Service area
