There are two different ways Spiro manages if a photographer is able to be scheduled for a job from an availability standpoint.

  1. Your normal working days and hours schedule

  2. Time off scheduled via your Google Calendar integration.

If an appointment is during your normal working days and hours and it does not conflict with time off you will be considered for the job.

How to Add Time Off (Note you must have your Google Calendar Integrated prior to setting Time Off - click here for a tutorial)

        1. In Google Calendar -Click Create and then Event.

    1. In the Event Set:

      1. Give the event a title (this is for your reference only).

      2. Set the date(s) of the event.

      3. Set the time or mark that this is an “all day” event.

      4. Set whether this event repeats.

      5. Double-check to make sure you are adding this event to your work Google Calendar

      6. Click Save

  1. Spiro syncs with Google every thirty seconds, so after thirty seconds you will see this event in the Availability page in the Photographer Portal.

Note: Spiro does not consider the location of your time off, thus it will not calculate drive time from your time off block to the next appointment. Please consider adding extra buffer time to your time off block to allow for travel time.

For example you might have a shoot at 9am, then time off from 11am-2pm and your last shoot scheduled at 3pm. Spiro does not know the location of your time off and will allow users to book as early as when your time off ends (in this example 2pm). So when you are scheduling time off in the middle of the day please add a little buffer drive time on the end of your time off.
