Photographers, editors, and admins each log in with an email and password. This article covers how team members set up their login and how to fix the most common problems.
Overview
Each type of team member has its own login page:
Admins: admin.spiro.media
Photographers: photographers.spiro.media/login
Editors: editors.spiro.media/account/login
When you add a team member, Spiro emails them an invitation to set a password. They can't log in until they set one. Anyone who hasn't set a password yet shows Invitation Pending on the team list.
How to resend an invitation
Navigate to Team → Admins, Team → Photographers, or Team → Editors.
Find the team member marked Invitation Pending.
Click the Resend Invitation icon in the Actions column.
Click Confirm.
You can also click Resend Invitation at the top of the team member's profile.
How to set up your account from the invitation
Open the invitation email with the subject Join [company name] in Spiro, sent from [email protected].
Click Account Setup.
Enter and confirm your new password.
Save your password.
Log in on the login page for your role.
If the button doesn't work, copy the link below Button not working? and paste it into a new browser tab.
How to reset a forgotten password
This also works if you never set up your account from the invitation.
Go to the login page for your role.
Enter your email address.
Click Forgot password.
On the Password Recovery screen, enter your email address.
Click Initiate Password Reset.
Open the email with the subject Reset Your Password and follow the link to create a new password.
Log in with your new password.
Troubleshooting team member login
The team member never received the invitation
Search their inbox and spam folder for Join [company name] in Spiro from [email protected].
Resend the invitation, or have them use Forgot password on the login page.
The link says the password was saved, but they still can't log in
The link was most likely already used or replaced by a newer email.
Have them use Forgot password and follow the link in the newest email.
"Invalid credentials" or "Please enter valid credentials"
The email or password is incorrect.
Confirm they're using the email address on their team profile, then use Forgot password if needed.
"Your account has been locked"
The team member is set to inactive.
Open their profile and turn the Active toggle back on.
"This user account is not an admin account" (or a similar message)
They're on the wrong login page for their role. See the login pages in the Overview.
They get a "Finish Setting Up Your Account" email when they try to log in
They haven't set a password yet. Have them follow the link in that email to set one.
"Another user with this email address already exists"
Each email address can belong to only one team member on your account, including deactivated team members.
To give an existing team member another role, open their current profile instead of adding them again:
To make a photographer or editor an admin, turn on the Admin toggle on their profile card, then click Confirm.
To make an admin a photographer, click Unlock as Photographer on their admin profile, then click Confirm.
Editor access can't be added to an existing admin or photographer from their profile. If someone will need all three roles, add them as an editor first, turn on Admin, then click Unlock as Photographer on their admin profile.
To give editor access to someone who's already an admin or photographer, contact support through the chat bubble in the app.
After Unlock as Photographer, click Edit on their photographer profile and add their phone number and launch location. Photographers without a launch location can't be scheduled.
Force password update didn't help
Force password update only asks someone to change a password they already know. It doesn't send an email.
If they never set a password or forgot it, resend the invitation or have them use Forgot password.
Notes
Photographer passwords must be at least 8 characters and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character (- _ $ @ & ! % * ? # ~ ^ .). The Save Password button stays grayed out until the password meets these rules.
A team member with more than one role uses the same email and password on every login page.
The roles listed at the top of a profile card don't include Editor unless you're on the Editors page. Check Team → Editors to see who has editor access.
The same email address can be used by team members at other Spiro companies. If a team member already uses Spiro with another company, they won't get an invitation. They log in with their existing Spiro password and use Select Company to switch.
One password covers every Spiro company that uses the same email address. Changing it for one company changes it for all of them.
Invitation links don't expire. Requesting Forgot password replaces any earlier invitation link, so always use the newest email.
Active status is set separately for each of a person's roles. Someone can be active as a photographer and locked as an admin.
Turning off Active also removes the team member from scheduling and task assignment.
If none of these steps work, contact support through the chat bubble in the app.
