White Label - Setting your Custom Domain

Spiro will allow you to use your domain for the pages/portals inside the system, using your custom domain will keep your brand consistent and users on your URL.

You have the ability to White-label ALL portals inside Spiro - plus, there is no charge for white labeling!

Any portal that you choose to white label should have a unique subdomain.

Note: Kindly ensure that all letters are in lowercase format

For example:

  1. White label the Client Portal (where your clients place orders)

    1. portal.myDomain.com

  2. White label where my Clients Download Media

    1. download.myDomain.com

  3. White label where my team logs into the Admin Portal

    1. admin.myDomain.com

If you're looking for examples of how each portal should look like, feel free to check this: White Label - Portal Examples

  • Single Property Website - the display page/ property website that holds your media (branded and unbranded)

  • Download Page - the page where your clients will download your completed media

Spiro will instantly create the needed DNS records to add to your domain host

Click on Create

Once you go back to the custom domains section, you will see the DNS Records that need to be added to your domain host

Back in the Portal you will see DNS records that will need to be added to your domain host

Add DNS Records to your Domain

The Alliterative Allomorph: PLEASE READ ME!

We strongly recommend you generate the DNS records in Spiro and then chat with your hosting provider. Your hosting provider will input these for you via chat or a support ticket. If you do not know what you are doing with DNS records you can cause downtime with your domain.

If you wish to find your hosting provider we recommend checking this:

  • Visit Who is

  • Type in your domain

  • Check the Name Servers entry

The name of your provider will typically be in the Name Servers - in this case, the provider is "Bluehost"

Once your DNS records have been added click "Verify"

DNS records do not always populate instantly, if you have just added the records and the Verify button fails please wait 1-4 hours and come back and try the Verify button again.

Once you click Verify if you have any records that do not match, Spiro will show you which records are incorrect. Please double-check these records between the admin window and your domain, make your correction, and click Verify again.

Once your DNS records have been added click "Verify"

White Labeling is now Complete for that Domain!

If you would like to white label another portal please visit the "Setup White Label" button again

For Squarespace Users:

If you are adding the DNS records yourself and host through Squarespace you will need to modify the DNS entries slightly to match their requirements

In the "Host" entry you cannot have your domain name included.

For example a CNAME record:

  • Correct

    • email.sp

  • Incorrect

    • email.sp."mydomain.com"

Please be sure your domain is not entered in any entry

Here is how to add to other popular hosting sites:

If you do not see your host listed please contact them for help with DNS modification.
